NPCs: Scattergood

In January of 2006, I joined Scattergood MOO with a couple of friends. We created three very twinky characters, just to see if we could get approved writing things that would never have gotten approved at HogwartsMOO. It was nearly a year later that I logged back on (after never really playing, but actually managing to get approved) and actually decided to give the game a try. I ended up re-writing my character, as the one I originally created was awful by any standards (and had somehow been allowed the name Laura Wilder, despite the obvious literature reference). With that, I created a character named Daphne Whittaker. It was actually after I came back to the game that I met my husband. We started talking and one thing led to another, and now almost three years later, we’re married. Sometime in 2007, the game was rethemed to move the timeline back and move the school to Pennsylvania, and owing to the new theme, I rewrote my character again. This time, she became Gillian Katsaros, Magical Music teacher at Scattergood. Later, I got permission to create the decendant of one of the founders, and thus exists Paige Brennan. It was some time after that when I created Janie Addington, just for a little bit of variety. The game isn’t very active, and I’ve only had a few scenes since the game was re-themed, but I still hold hope that the game will be rejuvenated at some point and I’ll have more opportunities to play the characters that I wrote up. I love them just as much as my HogwartsMOO characters, even if I don’t get to play them as often.
